Yoga is all encompassing in that there are several aspects to it and all<br \/>\nwith unique benefits.<br \/>\nAt the beginning of each yoga practice we start with a meditation and we focus on the breath and<br \/>\nthe benefits of meditating.<br \/>\nFollowing the meditation we get going with the yoga poses and I will guide you through each one<br \/>\nfocusing on the correct alignment and highlighting the benefits of each yoga pose. We will also work<br \/>\nwith the breath and I will introduce you to the different types of breathing.<br \/>\nAt the end of our practice we have a relaxation pose known as Savasana. (Meaning resting pose)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits of the Yoga Poses<\/strong><br \/>\nYoga stretches and strengthens all the major and minor muscles in the body.<br \/>\nYoga strengthens the abdominal muscles and will strengthen the lower, mid and upper back.<br \/>\nIt improves greater flexibility through the spine and increases a wider range of movement.<br \/>\nYoga improves balance and coordination.<br \/>\nYoga breathing comes with enormous benefits and just knowing how to tap into our breath can help<br \/>\nto slow things down.<br \/>\n<strong>Benefits of Meditation<\/strong><br \/>\nYoga and Meditation combined can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit<br \/>\nboth your emotional well-being and your overall health. You can also use it to relax and cope with<br \/>\nstress by refocusing your attention on something calming and I will guide you in how you can<br \/>\nachieve this.<br \/>\n<strong>Benefits of Savasana<\/strong><br \/>\nCalms the central nervous system<br \/>\nCalms the mind and reduces stress<br \/>\nRelaxes the body fully all the way from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet and allows you to become totally relaxed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"large-9 medium-9 small-12 columns pagecontent\" data-equalizer-watch=\"\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pay.easypaymentsplus.com\/feepay1.aspx?id=559\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/pay.easypaymentsplus.com\/images\/Buttons\/EPP_Button_Adult_Education_Enroll_Here.png\" width=\"201\" height=\"125\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>About the Tutor: Kathleen is a fully qualified experienced yoga teacher and holistic health practioner who trained at The Yoga Room, Dublin 4 under the direct instruction of Ireland\u2019s very best renowned yoga teachers. She completed the Teacher Training programme curriculum which follows the international standards of yoga alliance and also has a diploma in anatomy and physiology which really enhances a safe practice for all students in terms of alignment. Kathleen has been involved in yoga for many years now and it was whilst she spent time in India and lived for many years in Japan that deepened her understanding of the incredible depths of yoga.
