Portmarnock Community School Adult Education Programme:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Classes taught by \u00a0professional international adjudicator, teacher and former competitor.<\/div>\n
Learn in a friendly welcoming environment.<\/div>\n

There are 4 sections to Ballroom dancing<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a01.\u00a0 \u00a0Modern<\/div>\n
2\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Latin American<\/div>\n
3.\u00a0 \u00a0Classical Sequence<\/div>\n
4.\u00a0 \u00a0Social Dancing<\/div>\n

The 10 week course is structured for beginners to dancing, and will cover some aspects of all sections including:<\/div>\n
Slow Waltz<\/div>\n
Quickstep<\/div>\n
Samba<\/div>\n
Rhumba<\/div>\n
Cha Cha<\/div>\n
Jive and Barn dance<\/div>\n
Plus a few extra<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Date: 16th January 2025<\/strong><\/div>\n
Duration: 10 weeks\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
Time: 6.30-7.30<\/strong><\/div>\n
Cost: 80 euro per person\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
Location: Main School Building<\/div>\n
No Partner required as teacher will pair people up if needed<\/strong><\/div>\n

All ages welcome!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Your teacher is Dermot Bracken Ballroom and dance.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Sandra and her husband Dermot have been dancing together for a long number of years.<\/div>\n
They were trained here in Ireland by the well know dance teachers Marie and Jim Barber.<\/div>\n
They also trained in the U. K.\u00a0 for 10 years under the very famous World Champions<\/div>\n
Christopher Hawkins and Hazel Newberry.<\/div>\n
Sandra and Dermot were ranked the top couple in Ireland at senior level for 4 years<\/div>\n
They represented Ireland on many occasions in World and European Championships<\/div>\n
They also appeared on BBC Come Dancing.<\/div>\n
In 2019 Sandra was invited to adjudicate\u00a0 the Amateur World Championship at City West Hotel Dublin.<\/div>\n
